As most people are aware, Hurricane Mathew has devastated most of the southern part of  Haiti. The major areas that have suffered from the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew include Les Cayes, Jerimie, Port-Salut , Port- A -Piment and Camperant.
So far, there are a few organizations that have been able to distribute food. However, people are faced with  greater  challenges that are detrimental to their health and well being. They are know as the epidemic  of cholera which lead to infection and fever in the intestinal system. Due to limited immediate medical attention, many people that have been affected by Hurricane Matthew are also dying from the effects of cholera. Friends of Liberty has partnered with a grass roots organization called Konbit to create a robust program that will provide medical attention to those in need and prevent individuals who are sick from any further health detriments.
